Position Summary:

Assist in the day-to-day warehouse operations of the Dakota Houston branch from open to close everyday: From customer service to inventory control, workflow, safety, warehouse operation, culture building, employee management to cost management. The purpose of this position is to increase operational efficiency, customer experience and safety in the warehouse while assisting in the training and supervision of employees.

The ideal candidate has a granular knowledge of the Hardwood Lumber business with at least 3-years industry experience. 

Oversee warehouse management, organization and safety- hands on supervisory role

Monday through Friday, some Saturdays

Approx. 50 hours per week

Supervising approx. 14 team members. 

Position Requirements:

Must have prior management/supervisory experience.

Prior experience in hardwood, lumber and/or plywood distribution is a necessity. 

Willingness to lead, learn and grow with ambition, proving to be an effective leader with a strong and dependable work ethic.

Excellent communication skills.

Forklift experience required.

RF scanner experience not a must, but a bonus.

Leadership skills with a love for teaching and growing people.

Competent computer skills (Experience with Agility Distribution software a plus but not required)

Compensation/Benefits: 

Approx. $50,000- $70,000 annually, depending on skill and experience.
